What does a non-title ownership mean?

A non titled ownership indicates that a particular individual or company previously owned property but has since disposed of the property. A 'No titles for this Owner Number' message indicates non-title ownership.

What does WNS after an owners name indicate?

WNS stands for 'with no survivorship'. This would indicate that there may be a trust involved. To confirm this information, a copy of the relevant transfer will need to be viewed.

Example of with no survivorship

I am unable to view a survey plan image. How can I fix this problem?

Survey plan images are supplied in TIF Group 4 Fax format which some image viewers like QuickTime do not display correctly. See Viewing TIFF images for a possible solution.

How do I get a copy of a survey plan that has not yet been deposited?

These plans are available from PIERS Online. See also PIERS Technical requirements for information on setting up your browser to access PIERS.

Product Ordering

What is a yellow slip and how do I order one?

A yellow slip is an LTO record stored in an offsite archive facility that provides delivery details for titles with a volume number less than 5000 and where the last transaction was dated prior to 1985. In 1985 the Land Services Group introduced a computerised system that electronically recorded delivery details.

The yellow slip will identify the name of the person or organisation collecting the title as well as the date of delivery. This information is critical if preparing an Application for Substitute Certificate of Title. When delivery details are not available electronically via PropertyAssist, clients must search back to the last manual certificate of title issued for the specified property, identify the last transaction registered on the title and note the document number. This number should be used to order the yellow slip.

To order a yellow slip select the Product Ordering Menu, click on the Miscellaneous tab, enter your agent code , select yellow slip from the Item Type field and then enter the document/yellow slip number in the Item Number field.

How do I order a copy of a cancelled title?

Clients are able to order and download copies of cancelled certificates of title with a volume number less than 5000 via the Title tab in the Product Ordering menu. Copies of cancelled titles with a volume number of 5000 or higher are not available.

When ordering a copy of a document what does this error message mean - NO SCANNED IMAGE EXISTS FOR THIS DOCUMENT NUMBER?

Documents numbered over 7800000 can be viewed online, documents prior to 7800000 may be available. If no scanned image exists for a document you will need to select an alternative delivery method such LSG Delivery Box or if you are a country customer select Other Region and enter 105 - the copy will be posted out to you. Copies of these documents are usually available within 48 hours but may take up to 72 hours.

What does the error message SN3457NO VALUATION DETAILS AVAILABLE FOR THIS TITLE - mean when ordering a Section 7 statement?

On the completion of a new subdivision, valuation records are linked to the new properties being created. On occasions there may be delays in completing valuation updates which may also affect the availability of a Section 7 statement. In these instances customers will need to contact Customer Support for assistance. Customer Service staff will liaise with the State Valuation Office to address any issues as a matter of priority.

What information is available via the TATS History menu?

The TATS (Torrens Automated Title System) History menu provides a list of transactions that affect the particular title you have entered. This enquiry is known as the Historical Search and is used for Certificates of Title greater than Volume 5000. The parent title reference can also be obtained.
