The Property Location
Browser is provided by Land Services Group as an aid to business
and public users seeking to establish property identifiers. The
objective is to provide a user friendly and effective means to establish
these fundamental property identifiers.
Property identifiers
may be used to initiate land information enquiries with various
Government agencies having an interest in land. The identifiers
may also be used in PropertyAssist or the Plan Index Enquiry Retrieval
System (PIERS) to access a range of ownership, valuation and survey
information.
The Property Location
Browser is a limited capability application provided as a free service
to benefit users of land information. Users should not place any
dependence on the accuracy or availability of the Property Location
Browser.
Best endeavours
have been undertaken to provide a reliable and robust application
however users should be aware it is an aid - the authoritative sources
of primary land administration data in South Australia are PropertyAssist
and PIERS.
This application
has been developed by ESRI Australia in collaboration with Land
Services Group.
Availability
Maps will not be available Monday to
Friday between 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm due to back-up processes. Users
should note that weekend and public holiday times are subject to
availability of dependent databases on a 'best effort' basis.
Property searches linking to PropertyAssist
are restricted to PropertyAssist
availability.
Backup and support is only available
Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Reliance
on Map Data
The map data has
been created from digital data, or compiled from graphic documents,
of varying accuracy. Combining data from muItiple sources and of
differing scale and accuracy standards can expose anomalies in the
source data. The PLB depicts the spatial relationship of the parcels
and should only be used for reference purposes when trying to locate
a property. Users of the PLB should not rely on the data and maps
it provides for any other purpose than to establish property identifiers.
Refer to original survey plans (available through PIERS
or PropertyAssist)
to determine accurate dimensions of parcels.
Data
Acknowledgements
The spatial information
provided in the Property Location Browser is freely available data
that is useful for referencing property in a map context. The associated
attributes such as place names, title references and valuation assessment
numbers are also freely available.
The primary elements of the data displayed in, or provided by, the
Property Location Browser result from land administration activities
undertaken by the Land Services Group. Some data incorporated into
the Property Location Browser includes data that is Copyright Commonwealth
of Australia 2006.
To satisfy the objectives of the Property
Location Browser a number of graphic and textual data elements have
been combined. Several of these elements are provided publicly by
other organisations. Land Services Group appreciates and recognises
the sources, identified below, which have made this data available
and other organisations for various purposes.
