1. Introduction

The LTO Forms Online application provides a way of converting your data entries into PDF documents. It does this by displaying the PDF document in a secondary browser window. However, some web browsers have been configured to disallow secondary windows to be displayed. Therefore, in order to use the LTO Forms Online application, the web browsers must be configured to trust this site.The following sections describe the essential settings that must be configured on the three support web browsers:

Also please note that Java and Javascript must be enabled for each supported browser. The screen resolution must be set to a minimum of 800 by 600.

2.                    Setting Screen Resolution

The following steps show how the screen resolution can be set:

1.  Right clicking on the Desktop and selecting Properties option (see Figure )
2. Select the Settings tab (see Figure 2)
3. S croll the pointer in the Screen are section to the resolution that you want (Tip: select the highest number that you can with the Colours being set to True Color (32 bit)
4   Click OK when finish

3. Configuring Microsoft Internet Explorer

Follow the steps below to configure Microsoft Internet Explorer to support LTO Forms Online:

  1. Select the Tools -> Internet Options… from the browser (see Figure 3)
  2. Select the Security tab (see Figure 4)
  3. Select the Trusted sites icon (see Figure 4)
  4. Select the Sites... option to get a popup dialog (see Figure 4)
  5. Enter https://www.elr.landservices.sa.gov.au into the Add this web site to the zone field (see Figure 4)
  6. Click OK
  7. Select the Custom Level… option at the bottom of the dialog (see Figure 5)
  8. Ensure that File download is Enable and Active Scripting is Enable (see Figure 6)
  9. Under the Miscellaneous -> Display mixed content, select the Enable option (see Figure 8)
  10. If you are using Internet Explorer on Windows XP, then you may need to allow popup explicitly. Select the Tools -> Pop-up Blocker -> Pop-up Blocker Settings… (if you do not have this option on your browser, then you are done, else continue with the following steps) (See Figure 9)
  11. Type https://www.elr.landservices.sa.gov.au into the Address of Web site to allow: field and click the Add button (see Figure 10 )
  12. Click Close

4.                    Configuring Mozilla FireFox

The following steps show how to configure FireFox for accessing LTO Forms Online:

  1. Select Tools -> Options… from the browser (see Figure 11)
  2. Select the Web Features icon from the dialog (see Figure 12)
  3. Make sure that the checkboxes Enable Java and Enable JavaScript are checked (see Figure 12)
  4. Select the Allowed Sites button on the right side of the Block Popup Windows checkbox (see Figure 13)
  5. Enter https://www.elr.landservices.sa.gov.au into the Address of web site: field (see Figure 13 )
  6. Click Allow to add the entry to the list of sites that can have pop-ups (see Figure 13)
  7. Click OK
  8. Click on the Downloads icon and select the radio button Ask me where to save every file option (see Figure 14)
  9. Select the Advanced icon and make sure that all the options are checked under Security (SSL, TLS) (see Figure 15)

5.                    Configuring Netscape

The following steps show how to configure Netscape for accessing LTO Forms Online:

  1. Go to the LTO Forms Online application https://www.elr.landservices.sa.gov.au
  2. Go to Tools -> Options … (see Figure 16)
  3. Select Tab Browsing icon (see Figure 17)
  4. Under the Tab Browsing legend group, uncheck the open a new tab instead of a new window (see Figure 17)
  5. Under the When opening a link in a new tab: select the Load new tab in foreground (see Figure 17)
  6. Under the When a new tab is created open with: select Netscape.com (see Figure 17)
  7. Select Site Controls icon and select the Trust Preferences tab (see Figure 18)
  8. Select Do not use Netscape Trust Ratings (see Figure 18)
  9. Under Always use this setting as default option and select I Trust This site (see Figure 18)
  10. Select the Site List tab and select the I Trust This Site option from the Master Settings group (see Figure 19 )
  11. Under the Rendering Engine, select Firefox
  12. Under the Web Features section, check all options as shown in Figure 19
  13. Select the Downloads icon (see Figure 20)
  14. Under the Download folder group, select the Ask me where to save every file (see Figure 20)
  15. Select the Advanced icon, under Security group select all options (SSL, TLS) (see Figure 21)

6.                    Configuring Acrobat Reader

LTO Forms Online generates PDF documents as part of its main function. Therefore, it is a requirement that Acrobat Reader should be configured to display the PDF in the browser window.

You can do this using the steps shown below:

  1. Start Acrobat Reader
  2. Go to the Preferences option Edit -> Preferences…
  3. Select the Internet option
  4. Check the Display PDF in browser option
  5. Click OK
