The Lands Titles Office is responsible for establishing the indefeasibility of title as conclusive evidence of ownership, description and extent of land. This is done through the examination, assessment and registration of survey plans and documents, the approval of land division developments and the issuing of certificates of title that meet the statutory requirements of the Real Property Act 1886.

Including the maintenance of the Torrens Title Register and associated public records through corrections, amendments and cancellations; the sending of notifications; the provision of products, services, information and advice to clients and liaison with industry groups.
