The Land Services web site has been designed to comply with World Wide Web Consortium Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. While the site is best experienced using browsers that support Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) such as Microsoft Internet Explorer 5+ or Netscape 6+, provision for earlier browsers, text browsers and particularly assistive devices for visitors with a disability has been incorporated into the design.

Text links to pages at every level are provided down the left hand side together with a 'breadcrumbs' feature (directly below the menu bar) that allows navigation between the different areas and levels of the site. This will allow visitors using assistive devices to successfully navigate and use the site without relying on the menu system.

Some content in the Professional Access section will not have a text equivalent because it contains information that can only be represented visually, for example, survey plan layout.
